On March 17, 2006, Fr. Wildes contacted Jordan Kurland, Associate General Secretary of the AAUP and asked him to consult on his plans for Loyola and its faculty. Wildes did not contact the AAUP again until June 26, 2006. In the meantime, AAUP wrote letters attempting to initiate a dialog with the Loyola administration and the chair of the Board of Trustees on several occations.
